“We are not meant to walk out our faith alone, but we were designed to be a part of a community to learn, grow, inspire, encourage, and challenge each other as we are on our faith journey. It is in that community we have the opportunity to not only grow in our own faith but also have an impact on others as we each bring our own unique perspective and life experiences to the table.

I have found the One-On-One Accompaniment, through intentional discipleship, to be exactly what my heart and faith walk needed. It has given me someone with whom to discuss things I’m exploring in our faith, whether it is ‘old hat’ or something new the Holy Spirit revealed to me but I didn’t know what to do with it. It’s sharing the excitement of seeing things anew, such as a scripture read millions of times, leaping out and speaking to me in a whole different way, and seeing it excite the other person as well. It’s the encouragement needed at just the right time when struggling to pray, read the Bible, understand a particular doctrine/dogma, or not sure what to do or where to explore next. It’s a deepening of my faith as we discuss topics we both love or are passionate about, pulling apart the threads until we find that ‘one.’

While there are many discussions and explorations of different aspects of the faith, I love the times of prayer before and after our meetings, as we place our intentions before the Lord, lift each other up, and trust in our most wonderful Father to give us a sensitivity to discern what the Holy Spirit will reveal to us that day.”
